Hey fellow foodies! 

I hope you all enjoy some happy hour time as well! I have put together my own version of a little brew tour for your next Saturday in Kamloops. This blog post is to showcase craft breweries around Kamloops and for you to see what each brewery has to offer. It is a great way to support your local craft breweries while enjoying some of the best beer Kamloops has to offer. 

This Brew tour is to help you decide where to go first/last etc. See below for your Kamloops Brew Tour itinerary. 

Please remember to drink responsibly and ensure you have a designated driver or use Kamloops public transit system. 

First stop: Bright Eye Brewery 


Location: 292 Tranquille Rd – North Kamloops

Highlights: Bright Eye is one of the newest breweries in Kamloops and has already made a huge splash! They are open seven days a week, offer great food and even better beer. Since they are a small brewery that does all brewing on-site, the menu changes often. I recommend trying a flight of their sour beers as they always have at least a few on tap. You’ll love the creative names for their beers as well!

Second stop: Alchemy Brewery: 

Location: 650 Victoria St – Downtown Kamloops

Highlights: Next, we are making our way downtown to Alchemy Brewery. From here, you will be able to walk to your following two destinations (Bonus!) Alchemy is located in the heart of downtown and has a very cozy, beautiful atmosphere to enjoy your next beer. Hit it at the right time, and you might even get to enjoy one of their events, including karaoke night, quiz night, or beer pong. I recommend trying the Cosmic Abyss – a coffee and milk chocolate stout.

Third stop: The Noble Pig 

Location: 650 Victoria St – Downtown Kamloops

Highlights: The next location is next door to Alchemy, so it should only take you about 2 minutes to get there. The Noble Pig is a restaurant and brewhouse. If you are hungry, there is a full-service restaurant and menu here, and they brew about four house-brewed beers on a rotating tap, so you are always in for something new! Love what you had? Take a growler home of your favorite beer.

Fourth stop: Red Collar Brewing & Distilling co.

Location: 355 Lansdowne St – Downtown Kamloops

Highlights: Ok, so I don’t usually like to pick favorites; however, Red Collar is a long-standing Kamloops favorite for many! Located downtown, so another walking distance brew stop. Red Collar offers many different rotating beers, a fantastic cider, and a brand new cocktail program, so there is something for everyone, including the non-beer lovers. Gin Lane – the new cocktail program has elevated Kamloops’s cocktail scene and deserves some serious recognition. I recommend anything with the Aquarius gin in it. Although Red collar does not have their own kitchen, they deliver local Korean fried chicken right to your table if you want a quick bite.

Fifth & last stop: Iron Road Brewery 

Location: 980 Camosun Crescent – Aberdeen Kamloops

Highlights: Last stop on the Kamloops Brew tour is Iron Road Brewery. Iron Road is conveniently located blocks away from TRU, so a great spot for students. They offer rotating craft beer and some local ciders and wines from around Kamloops. The real winner at Iron Road though is the food. This is why it is the last stop on the tour to fill those hungry bellies. They offer a variety of delicious tacos and nachos; a must-try when you are visiting! I recommend the Mexican street tacos paired with the Locomotive Lager.
